McMaster University Mclean Centre

McMaster University Mclean Centre for Collaborative Discovery is a 10 story, 190,000 square foot addition to the DeGroote School of Business, providing students with a facility to get together and engage in discussions.

This redevelopment will include lecture halls, a new library, labs, offices, study halls and a feature staircase. This staircase is anchored to the feature wall of the building, with a feature bench running alongside the staircase, providing students a place to sit and collaborate.

Natural light is a major component to this project, with majority of the Curtain Wall system being Vision Glass. Many areas of the building will have automated window coverings to optimize the natural lighting based on use, with LEED Gold being the targeted certification.
